1. Estimate the real landed shipping cost
International shipping depends on final weight, dimensions, route and optional services. Consolidation can remove duplicate outer packaging, but a large light parcel may be charged by dimensional weight.
- Compare estimated chargeable weight before and after consolidation.
- Do not remove necessary protection from fragile or valuable goods only to reduce size.

2. Overseas parcels are imports in Indonesia
Indonesian Customs states that goods entering from abroad are imports. Current parcel rules distinguish value bands and commodity groups, and some products use rates different from the general parcel treatment.
- Do not assume a low-value parcel is automatically free of all import charges.
- Keep evidence supporting the declared value.
- Respond promptly if Customs or the carrier asks for additional information.
3. Check export, carrier and Indonesian import restrictions
A product being legal to buy in Japan does not mean it can be transported internationally or imported into Indonesia. Batteries, liquids, food, medicine, cosmetics and other controlled goods may require a particular route, document or permit.

4. Keep clearance records consistent
Save store orders, payment evidence, product URLs, quantities, unit prices and intended use. Consistent records make it easier to answer valuation or classification questions.

- Final duties, taxes and release decisions are made by Indonesian Customs and other competent authorities.
