Alcohol at 24% ABV or below uses EMS, air or surface; alcohol above 24% and up to 70%, limited to 5 L per parcel, uses the Special Priority route with bottle reinforcement and six details.

Direct answer: Japanese alcohol can be shipped. Wine, sake and beer at 24% ABV or below may use EMS, air or surface mail. Whisky, cognac and brandy above 24% and up to 70% ABV, with a maximum of 5 L per parcel, may use the Special Priority route.

Alcoholic drinks at 24% ABV or below

Wine, sake, beer and similar drinks may use EMS, air or surface mail.

Alcoholic drinks above 24% ABV

Whisky, cognac, brandy and similar drinks up to 70% ABV, with no more than 5 L per parcel, may use the Special Priority route.

Selections in the forwarding order

In the forwarding order, select individual reinforcement for Alcohol (Bottle), together with moisture-protection film, super-reinforced shock-absorbing bubble wrap, an additional outer carton, packing straps and other reinforcement. Temporarily select Other Food and Beverages as the product category.

After creating the forwarding order, contact JChere with:

  • (2) Type, such as sake or whisky
  • (3) Product name in Japanese
  • (4) Quantity
  • (5) Alcohol by volume
