Shipping a PlayStation 5 / PS5 from Japan
Before buying a Japanese PlayStation 5 bundle, check model, DualSense and headset batteries, factory-carton size, shock packing, power, disc region and warranty.
Start here
Standard, digital, slim, Pro and retailer bundles differ in size, weight and accessories. The older JChere page primarily covered launch information, so this guide adds DualSense, battery accessories, housing protection and Japanese-version compatibility.
Check JChere's current restrictions and special routes first
List console and battery accessories separately
The home console, DualSense, wireless headset and media remote are different components. A bundle name does not show how many lithium batteries it contains; use the physical list and manufacturer data.
- List console, every controller, headset, charging dock and wireless accessory.
- Review a loose controller battery, power bank or removable battery separately.
- Even a console plus one controller must meet the current destination and route.
Size, weight and housing protection
A PS5 is large and its panels, ports and drive area dislike local pressure. Preserve factory moulded inserts and use a suitable outer carton and cushioning so accessories cannot move against the console.
- Estimate from seller-carton gross weight and three dimensions, not console net weight.
- Keep load off panels, stand, drive and ports.
- For a used unit, record boot, drive, ports, controller drift and serial condition.
Battery count, power-off and splitting
Japan Post and other routes place conditions on installed battery count in one item. Multi-controller and wireless-accessory bundles can exceed ordinary conditions. Power devices off, prevent activation and shorts, and split components or use a current battery route when required.
- Do not ship a damaged, swollen, leaking, recalled or unknown battery.
- Each split carton must still meet installation, count, packing and destination rules.
- Never conceal a loose extra battery in a controller or accessory box.
Japanese power, discs, accounts and warranty
Check the exact model's rated input, plug, destination voltage and maker instructions. Games, Blu-ray or DVD, DLC, accounts, payment and warranty can have separate regional conditions.
- Use the console and power rating plate; do not assume every revision is identical.
- Check disc region, language, DLC store and account country.
- Include Japan-only warranty, returns and repair freight in total cost.
