How to Buy from Japanese Websites That Do Not Ship Overseas

'No international shipping' is not only an address issue. A store may also check the payment card, billing address, phone, account region or prohibit forwarding warehouses. Check each requirement before ordering to reduce cancellations and refund delays.

Option one: order to your Japanese warehouse

After registration, copy the complete warehouse address shown in your account and split it into the Japanese store's name, postcode, prefecture, municipality, street and phone fields. Put the member identifier exactly where instructed.

• Before payment, confirm variation, quantity, seller, dispatch date and Japanese shipping.
• You handle payment and store support; the warehouse cannot edit the store order for you.
• Different sellers can dispatch separate parcels, which you can assess after receiving.

Option two: use proxy buying when checkout fails

If the store rejects overseas cards, requires a Japanese phone or bank transfer, or the product is on Mercari or an auction, submit the exact URL, variation, quantity and maximum budget for a proxy-purchase check.

• Specify colour and variation; do not submit only a search-results page.
• Accept condition, cancellation and return limits on used or auction goods first.
• Proxy buying remains subject to stock, seller, purchase limits and platform controls.

Check international transport before checkout

Delivery to a Japanese warehouse does not establish international eligibility. Perfume, aerosols, nail polish, alcohol, food, medicines, spare batteries, power banks and oversized goods can have limited or no export routes.

• Review complete ingredients, battery specification, capacity, weight and product dimensions.
• Check Japanese export, carrier and destination import requirements together.
• Ask before purchase when unsure, rather than discover only domestic return or disposal options later.

Choose consolidation and route after receiving

Compare separate shipping with consolidation using actual warehouse weight, dimensions and item attributes. Allow for preorder or multi-store waiting, and do not strip protection from fragile goods or collectible boxes solely to reduce weight.

• Wait until every intended parcel has arrived before requesting consolidation.
